I can print from almost any where in the house. My documents, spreadsheets and graphs look very nice. And, I am very pleased with the photographs I print.Overall, I would say this product is good value for the money. I would recommend this to a friendBlacks print as gray & uses too much inkThis reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I read how this printer uses lots of ink so I purchased XL sized refills along with the printer as the printer was on holiday sale. For the low cost of printer, you'd think it was worth keeping even though it used lots of ink, but this is just a literal drain on resources. I printed 58 pages of which most were either B&W docs or printer cleaning cycles. I also printed about 10-12 4x6 photos. I first noticed the black quality was poor when I had a a photo (using HP advanced photo paper) which had a black and dark gray background curtain in it. See attached photo for example. The photo had no distinctions between the shadows and the color was terrible as it was darker gray around the edges of the photo and more muddy around the middle. So I thought the paper might be at fault, but it was a new pack opened no more than a week prior. Then I found the printer would not remain in borderless mode and needed changed for each new photo, and when printing borderless, it would still leave a white border on 2 sides of the photo, so I thought it was an alignment issue, but when I tried to align it it never achieved this. The top block of the diagnostic printout was always off a little bit and then I noticed an unprinted streak through the blocks at about 1/2 inch intervals so I tried running cleaning cycles and did so about 5 or 6 times before the starter ink ran out. There was plenty of black left but all the separate colors ran out simultaneously. Remember, I only printed 58 pages in total. This is a cheap printer with marginal performance in color photo printing, esp. the black colors and does not even come close to the printer from HP that I was replacing, a Photosmart 8250. That printer produced beautiful photos but I had two of those fail when left unused for a few months and then colors cross contaminated from some fault in the print head. I will be trying to repair one of those as this HP 6520 printer is totally unsatisfactory as a replacement for photo printing. It may work

I have 3 boys not at home but still depends on us and it is so nice for them to be able to use the email print to send us needed documents and we don't have to have emails sent then printed. I bought it to replace my 6510 that suddenly stopped printing in black. The printer is a wireless network printer which makes printing easy from anywhere in the house. It is also ePrint capable, so you can print from anywhere that you have a connection to the internet, or you can have someone send something to your printer. This printer also features a free account for eFax so that you can send and receive faxes without being connected to a landline. I like the double-sided printing feature to save on paper. This printer handles scans and copies quickly, as well. And while the printer is monochrome, the full-color scanner delivers true-to-life color capture and fast scanning. But it's not just affordable at purchase; operating costs are low, too, with a cost per page of 3.7 cents using standard-capacity toner cartridges and just 2.7 cents with high-capacity toner. However, printed scans often showed small discolorations and pixelations, so this isn't a great printer for photojournalism students or others who prize perfection in prints. However, our reviewer definitely had some hassles when trying to set up the printer via its included HP Smart software. You can connect the printer to a PC via either USB, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and unfortunately you'll need a (free) HP Smart account to take full advantage of all the printer's features.Still, despite these setup headaches this printer is our top recommendation for students because of its ease of use, good print quality and low ink costs.Read our full HP Smart Tank 7602 review.^ Back to the topThe best photo printer(Image credit: Canon)The best photo printerSpecificationsPrinter Type: InkjetFeatures: Print, copy, scan, faxDisplay: 4.3-inch color touchscreenInk/Toner: Five cartridges (black, pigment-black, cyan, magenta, yellow)Connectivity: 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB 2.0Reasons to buy+Fast photo printing and copying+High image quality+ADF and duplexerReasons to avoid-Ink costs are above average-Does not make two-sided copies/scans via ADFThe Canon Pixma TR8620 is a great home office printer that's ideal for use by students, families and home businesses.
