All you need to do to make it work is go to "show package content" Matlab/xxxx/bin/maci64/matlabwindow.app that's pretty much it. Click that and it'll run. Nothing special you need to do. Create an alias on your dock. Been using 2020b for weeks with 0 issues. Runs just as good as it does on PC. Fully functional. Editada: cr el 5 de En. de 2021 UPDATE 1: Text comparison tool in R2019b not working on M1 mac. Got the following error popup. Matlab for AppleSilicon beta is out for testing. Editada: cr el 23 de Dic. de 2020 I cannot believe the results (below) I'm seeing on my MBP-M1 with R2019b. R2018a showed slower benchmarks as expected for Matlab running with Rosetta especially on graphics front. But strangely R2019b is zipping fast. Results on R2019b, connected to power and no peripherals.Out of curiosity, I connected an external monitor whose resolution is only somewhat lower than MBPs (2560x1080) and re-ran bench. Graphics seemed way faster, like running Matlab on Intel. The results are incredible. Results on external monitor: Editada: cr el 12 de Nov. de 2021 Depends on version. MW has said 2020b v3 and later will work on M1 through Rosetta. There might still be issues to iron out. Late prior versions work with some quirks. See some earlier comments in this thread.. Learn more about m1, crash, apple, silicon, mac MATLAB. Hi, Matlab crashes with both 2025b and 2025b. It used to run smoothly More than 10 years. I did not have these problems before, except (1) and (2) started happening occasionally in 2020a/b versions. For your information, it would not be a hardware issue. My computer is the latest mac pro with 98 GB RAM and 24 intel cores. Any comment and suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you so much for the help in advance. Answers (3) This is not a mac issue, it is a 2021b issue. It has serious problems in all aspects. Should never have been released. Hi,This is potentially due to the usage of window snapping/management tools such as Magnet. Please see the attached link for resolution/workaround. Workaround number 6 is suggested first as it is the easiest and seems to have a high level of success. The MATLAB® Runtime is a standalone set of shared libraries, MATLAB code, and other files that enables the execution of MATLAB files oncomputers without an installed version of MATLAB. Applicationsthat use artifacts built with MATLAB Compiler SDK™ require accessto an appropriate version of the MATLAB Runtime to run.End-users of compiled artifacts without access to MATLAB must install the MATLAB Runtime on their computers or know the location of a network-installed MATLAB Runtime. The installers generated by the compiler apps may include the MATLAB Runtime installer. If you compiled your artifact using mcc, you should direct your end-users to download the MATLAB Runtime installer from the website Install and Configure MATLAB Runtime formore information. How is the MATLAB Runtime Different from MATLAB?The MATLAB Runtime differs from MATLAB in several importantways:In the MATLAB Runtime, MATLAB files are encryptedand immutable.MATLAB has a desktop graphical interface. The MATLAB Runtime hasall the MATLAB functionality without the graphical interface. The MATLAB Runtime is version-specific. You mustrun your applications with the version of the MATLAB Runtime associatedwith the version of MATLAB Compiler SDK with which it was created. For example, if you compiled an application using version 6.3 (R2016b)of MATLAB Compiler™, users who do not have MATLAB installedmust have version 9.1 of the MATLAB Runtime installed. Use mcrversion toreturn the version number of the MATLAB Runtime. The MATLAB paths in a MATLAB Runtime instanceare fixed and cannot be changed. To change them, you must first customizethem within MATLAB.Performance Considerations and the MATLAB RuntimeMATLAB Compiler SDK was designed to work with a large rangeof applications that use the MATLAB programming language. Becauseof this, run-time libraries are large.Since the MATLAB Runtime technology provides full supportfor the MATLAB language, including the Java® programminglanguage, starting a compiled application takes approximately thesame amount of time as starting MATLAB. The amount of resourcesconsumed by the MATLAB Runtime is necessary in order to retainthe power and functionality of a full version of MATLAB.Calls into the MATLAB Runtime are serialized so calls intothe MATLAB Runtime are threadsafe. This can impact performance.
