CNN — SpaceX is standing down from the eighth uncrewed test flight of its gargantuan Starship megarocket. The mission was expected to lift off during an hourlong launch window that opened at 5:30 p.m. CT (6:30 p.m. ET) from SpaceX’s Starbase facilities in South Texas. But a couple of issues, including an undisclosed issue with the Super Heavy booster, cropped up during the countdown to the launch. While the booster issue didn’t appear to halt proceedings for long, computers detected more issues, and the company opted to scrub the launch. SpaceX has not yet set a date for the next attempt, but the vehicle could be ready to lift off as soon as 24 hours, said SpaceX’s Dan Huot during the live stream. SpaceX founder Elon Musk posted that there were “too many question marks about this flight,” on the social platform X, formerly known as Twitter. “Best to destack, inspect both stages and try again in a day or two.” The company only stacked the Starship spacecraft atop the Super Heavy booster this morning. Such last-minute assembly is not common in the world of rocketry. Huot said the company opted to wait to stack the rocket system in an effort to continue chasing the goal of making Starship as nimble as possible. “We really want to get to a point where we can fly rapidly, fly as quickly as possible,” Huot said. “And so this is definitely a case to try and push that forward.” He added that SpaceX did not conduct a “wet dress” rehearsal of the vehicle, a ground test that typically precedes rocket launches during which engineers fill the rocket with fuel and practice for launch.Comments

2025-04-15Offworld’s Starship Troopers: Extermination has left Steam Early Access for PC while launching on Xbox Series X/S and PS5. However, the journey isn’t over for the base-building/co-op shooter. The developer has updated its Living Roadmap, promising performance and optimizations, quality of life changes and a Loadout Locker in Q4 2024. In Q1 2025, it will add new abilities, Perks, Bug Holes, the Morita Under Barrel Attachment, and five new levels for class progression. After that, Q2 2025 will offer a new map, Bug type, and Chapter 2 of the S.O.G. Solo Play Tutorial. Beyond that, plans are unknown, so stay tuned for more details and updates (alongside potential surprises). Based on the movie (which inspired other media, including Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers), Starship Troopers: Extermination allows up to 16 players to team up on giant maps to fight hordes of Bugs. There are six classes to choose from, each with different weapons and base-building, as players can tackle hundreds of bugs at certain points. Amazing Articles You Might Want To Check Out!

2025-03-31Archipelago of Turks and Caicos told CNN they found — and are still finding — debris from the spacecraft littering beaches and roadways. The local government worked with SpaceX to craft a debris recovery plan. That plan was approved by the local government on February 13, according to a notice posted to social media. The contents of the strategy, however, were not provided, and it’s not clear who is paying for the cleanup effort. Neither SpaceX nor the Turks and Caicos government responded to requests for comment. SpaceX said in a statement that it implemented upgrades to Starship in response to the failed January test flight. The changes include new vents and a “purge system” designed to prevent a fire. The company also said what mission teams learned prompted them to alter lines that feed fuel to some of the Starship’s engines, tweak propellant temperatures, and adjust the vehicle’s “operating thrust target” — or how much power SpaceX aims for the engines to generate during flight. 2025-04-11We follow it immediately with a straight triad of C major, we’re in effect forcing the top note to create a falling motion, from G# to G.This ‘resolution’ as it’s called is a very popular trick which is often used in sci-fi soundtracks; you’ll hear it on everything from Alien to Star Trek, through to Starship Troopers. Just imagine it being played on a big brassy synth patch, or even by a brass section… you get the idea!Boldly take your triad to another dimension. Pay close attention!
