updated from ie7 to ie9. appears Microsoft dynamics CRM does work anymore. tried to remove ie9 but update is not visible in list of installed update. therefore I cannot remove IE IE 8 is built-in to Windows 7. If you've installed the IE9 update then all you need to do is uninstall IE9 via 'Control Panel- Programs and Features', select 'View installed updates'

New 30 Jul 2013 #1 Win 7 - IE9 & IE10 update failure (Code 9C48) Problem originally started when trying to complete a Windows Update to install IE10 -- had connection issues due to my router and needless to say, the install failed... miserably. Kept trying to reinstall IE10 through Windows Update, and also manually, to no avail. Strangely enough, I could open IE, though not be able to use any of the toolbar menus or type in any address in the URL bar without it crashing.IE10 was not showing in the installed update list, however IE9 was. Tried uninstalling IE9 and have gotten myself into an even bigger mess. Now, IE10 IS showing in the installed update list but the system is requesting that I install IE9. Still fails just as before with the resulting 'Code 9C48'. Can also still open IE but get the same type of crash as before.Any help is greatly appreciated.Thanks! With your proxy/network or the advanced settings "The Program" specifically IE9 is not listed in the Programs and Features list, which is where I assume you are referring to. The years of bugs, non standards, lack of add ins, viruses and all that. I was forced to rebuild their computers so they can use them. System last month through Microsoft automatic updates... apparently IE10 has some bugs.Anyway, I saw that Internet Explorer was not coming up to show the normal Options dialog produced by GenoPro report generator.So I reverted back to IE9 and Report Generator works again! Maybe Microsoft will fix the bug in IE10, but for now, use IE9.Here is how to uninstall IE10 and revert back to IE9: IE 10To remove IE 10 from Windows 7 (and automatically reinstall IE 9):Click Start > Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program. Select the option to View Installed Windows updates. New 29 Jul 2011 #1 This Feature Requires Internet Explorer 4.01 or Greater Hi I am using Outlook from Office 2007, I am using Win 7 x 64 (fully updated) and have both 32 and 64 Browsers installed. "When I try to open Outlook I get a message "This Feature Requires Internet Explorer 4.01 or Greater to use this feature" I have searched the web for an answer to this problem but none are relevant or working for me. One thing I note is that the registry fixes use an IE Version number but when I check my the version numbers in IE9 32 ( Help/About) I get Version: (blank)Update Version: 0I think this may be the cause of the problem. I have tried running in safe mode but this did not work. Outlook 2007 has been working fine until two days ago, it was a new install of Office 2007 when I installed W7 Pro about 9 months ago, prior to that it was also working in Vista Ultimate. have done an Office 2007 repair to no avail. I had to install FF so I could access the Internet and my Hotmail account. I tried updating the an Update install of IE9, nothing worked so I did system restore, now I am right back where I started.....
